Vectorworks Landmark for Domestic Design
(costs are shown in $US) Many people talk about BIM these days, it is an important way to create drawings. This course is an introduction to using Building Information Modeling with Vectorworks Landmark and it has been designed to teach you the concepts of BIM and how to use the Vectorworks Landmark in the most productive way. It has all been brought together in a concise course.
In this course you will draw a simple project that will teach you the basics of BIM. We will start with first principles and work through creating a Model that will allow us to create plans, sections, elevations, and visuals. We will progress through site modeling, solar studies, rendering 3D views, sections, and details.
By the end of this course attendees should be able to create a 3D model of the project (BIM) and create drawings from it.

Module 1 – Setting Up
In this module you'll learn about the basics setting up of your files in order to speed up your projects.
Module 2 – Site Modeling
Site modeling is a fundamental part of BIM. We need the site model for so many parts of our landscape work, so here you will learn about it.
Module 3 - Creating Buildings
You might think that creating buildings is not part of landscaping. There are many times when you need to add building elements to your designs.
Module 4 - Creating a Budget Plan
This module shows you how fast and efficient it is to use Vectorworks objects to create your landscape concepts. As we create the concept, Vectorworks will update the cost of the project.
Module 5 - Planting
In this section, you will learn how to create your own plants, how to control the plant graphics and how to add other things to your designs so that your clients can see your ideas.
Module 6 - Creating Drawings and Exporting
This final section is where we bring everything together to create drawings export our drawings and export our building information models to other people.
